Novak Djocovic needs no introduction. The same goes for Seiko, of course. As proud 'watch partner' of the Serbian tennis champion, they have been providing Djocovic with the necessary watches since 2014 and regularly release a limited edition watch with him. Good news for fans: it's that time again! In honor of Djocovic's unprecedented achievements, Seiko is introducing a special limited edition of the Astron GPS Solar. And of the 1500 copies the Japanese brand is launching worldwide, Brunott gets 2!
The Novak Djocovic Astron GPS Solar subtly links to the affection Djocovic and Seiko have for their homeland. With dark blue as its base color, the watch references both the Japanese symbol for "victory" and the Serbian flag. Down to the smallest details, the watch pays tribute to the homeland of the two players: red and white of both national flags is reflected in the design, and both the Serbian and Japanese time zones are marked on the UTC indicator.
Equipped with the new 5X53 Dual-Time caliber, Seiko proves with this watch to be a master of GPS Solar technology. Thus, the timepiece is able to "see" daylight and makes contact with the GPS system up to twice a day to ensure precise time. Does the wearer land in a different time zone? A push of a button lets this Astron GPS Solar switch to the correct local time at lightning speed.
